Addiction/Compulsion
Alcohol, drugs, gambling, shopping or other compulsive behaviors can be overcome. You don't have to wait until you "hit rock bottom." You can make a change at any time. You can overcome your compulsion by exploring how they came into your life and learning how to cope in ways that are constructive rather than destructive.
We sincerely do not know where we'd be today without the guidance of Joe and the intense work he provided for our young adult son. Joe believed in him and gave him the tools he needed to dig deep, do the difficult, emotional work, to begin to believe in himself again and start the healing process. As parents, we felt helpless, but never hopeless, as we put together an incredibly strong support system to lead our shattered family from its very darkest days. With Joe's unwavering professionalism, he guided us with much experience, knowledge, expectation and trust back to lighter brighter days. It was sometimes with baby steps, often big steps, yet always, always moving forward. It is safe to say our son not only survived, but has thrived with Joe's constant commitment to him and our family. It has been comforting to know we can always call on him if needed. We are so thankful, grateful and blessed by the work of Joe Koos!! What a gift!!!"
